Forbes cooks up list of top chefs

Here’s how powerful celebrity chefs are in today’s society: Forbes actually ranked the top 10 earners in the world.

It’s probably no surprise that Rachael Ray, with her own syndicated talk show, cookware line, olive oil, not to mention the four shows she now hosts on the Food Network, is on top. Ray is earning $18 million, according to Forbes.

Here’s the rest of the breakdown:

  • Wolfgang Puck — $16 million

  • Nobuyuki Matsuhisa — $5 million

  • Gordon Ramsay — $7.5 million

  • Paula Deen — $4.5 million

  • Alain Ducasse — $5 million

  • Mario Batali — $3 million

  • Anthony Bourdain — $1.5 million

  • Bobby Flay — $1.5 million

  • Tom Colicchio — $2 million

‘Ultimate’ host a proud papa

Tyler Florence welcomed his third child last week.

Dorothy Tyler Florence was born at 8:08 a.m. on August 8 (eerily the same exact moment “American Idol” winner Clay Aiken welcomed his son to the world). Florence’s healthy baby girl bounced in at 9 lbs. and 19 inches. Dorothy is the second child for Tyler and his wife, Tolan Clark Florence. Their son Hayden is 14 months old. Tyler also has a 12-year-old son, Miles, from a previous marriage.
