symon.jpgThe newest Iron Chef on the Food Network, Michael Symon, will now appear on another show on the popular cable outlet. As the new star of Dinner: Impossible, the chef will face a different challenge in each episode, with a "culinary curveball" and a strict time limit. Symon will replace the previous host, Robert Irvine, who was dropped from the network's lineup after revelations that he padded his resume.

Symon is a gregarious graduate of the Culinary Institute of America who has two successful restaurants in Cleveland, Lola and Lolita. He has received numerous accolades for his cooking, and recently announced the opening of a new restaurant in Detroit.

With its new host, Dinner: Impossible will expand to an hour-long format, appearing at 10 PM on Wednesday nights. Filming of 10 new episodes is underway and will begin airing this summer.

So what happened to the former host - the Terminator-looking guy?

In our home we don't like chef Simon's style nor his personality. Although we watch Iron Chief, we don't watch Simons' segments. Although a lair, I think Ivine was much better chef than Simon.
