Newmanslogo_2 Newman's Own will soon be adding wine to its roster of products.  Starting in March 2008, the company will begin offering California Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay, starting with the 2006 vintage.

Noting that his first product was salad dressing packaged in old wine bottles, co-founder and actor Paul Newman said, "We have come full circle. We are back to wine bottles but this time we are filling them with a wine that will complement my salad dressing and pasta sauce. Wine was the only thing missing at dinner time. Now the meal is complete..."

The wines are a result of a partnership with Rebel Wine Company of St. Helena, California, a collaboration of Three Thieves and Trinchero Family Estates.  When bottles hit the shelves next spring, the suggested retail price will be $16.
